Tama gate opened at 5 o'clock, all participants got at the course early, took breakfast at club house and moved to range for practicing. After this, the opening ceremony was performed on practice green backed sun rising. Gen.Yoshida, Gen.Wright and president Takegouchi gave players words of greeting, they pointed with one consent about the promoting friendship between both countries and upbringing strong air force each other.
27 parties drove to each starting tee and then the starting signal was sounded over Tama Hills at 7 o'clock. The competition was started. It's excellent condition for playing golf, because of fair weather and no wind. They enjoyed conversation with good English or good Japanese and by gesture, and they could deepen friendship each other.
After playing golf, all members took lunch at club house and they had review meeting here and there. At the commendation ceremony, every time the winner was announced, a shout of joy rose in the club house. The 1st, 2nd, 3rd, best-gross, nearest-pin and longest-drive prize were presented by Mr.Takegouchi. Also other special prizes which had been provided by 5AF/CC, JASDF/CC, ADC/CC and JAAGA president were awarded to each winners. Gen.Yoshida (JASDF/CC) got ADC/CC prize, it was worthy of special mention.
At the end of this competition, Gen.Yoshida, Gen.Wright and president Takegouchi stated "we could improve our friendship tight through this SPORTEX'06B", and expressed the appreciation words to the volunteer staffs who supported SPORTEX'06B. Please give round applause to Kim, Capt Uchiyama and Sumiko.Gen Yoshida, Gen Takegouchi, Gen Muraki, Gen Yamaguchi and Gen Tamogami, you have always bring us together to strengthen our friendship ties. We do together so much. We remembered the tradition to carry JAAGA Golf from the Gen Myers, Gen Eberhart, Skip Hall,Gen Waskow, and Gen Hester.That friendship is something we keep in our memory forever. There are so many opportunities to come together in addition to JAAGA GOLF, get together for dinner, share meals and phone calls.

Thank you for the great support of the volunteers and Tama Golf Staff for the good event today. Congratulations to the winners.Everybody got prizes, so even people did not get prizes; we had the close friendship we shared today.I met CMSGT Murry, the retired former Chief Master Sergeant of The Air Force.I met him in WashingtonD.C. He tried to sell me F-22. But I did not have enough money for F-22.I was touched he remembered me all those years. I was happy we remembered each others.In future what I wish for JAAGA is that friendship we are building today will continue to get stronger over years.
