On 28 August, Special Olympics 2010 in Misawa Air Base was opened in the hanger of Misawa AB.　The 28 of Aug. was hotter than average year there.　The 74 athletes of 3 organizations around Misawa AB. and the 23 helpers were invited to this Olympics.　Colonel Wimmer , vice commander of Misawa AB, and about 350 airmen supported this Olympicst as volunteer.　The competitive events were almost same as last year.　We worried that the heat stroke might hit athletes and other participants because of the heat wave, but luckily no people got the stroke.　In addition, JAAGA donated contribution to the Misawa Special Olympics Committee. 　(reported by Maruyama, head of JAAGA Misawa branch)
