On 6 August Colonel Greg, Commander of Misawa Air Base, and 34 USAF airmen and their families participated in Nebuta Festival 2010 which was held in Aomori city and one of the biggest festival in northern Japan.　Members of JAAGA Misawa branch supported to this participating.　The day was very hot day and we moved to Aomori from Misawa by bus.　After arriving at Aomori city, all participants changed their clothes to the festival costume.　Then the base commander and JAAGA officers had courtesy visit to Mr.Shikauchi, the mayor of Aomori city.　After then, we joined to Nebuta-float operation. 　During this operation they shouted "Rassei Ra, Rassei Ra", they enjoyed Japanese festival very much and made good memory on their staying in Japan.　(reported Maruyama, head of Misawa branch)
