On behalf of our group from Misawa Air Base who had the chance to participate in the Nebuta Festival with you and your organization on August 6th, I want to say thank you for your wonderful hospitality in organizing this trip. Because of you and the Japan American Goodwill Association members and your families, we were able to experience an exciting part of Japanese culture with our Japanese neighbors. The music, dancing and floats of the festival were absolutely spectacular and we will always remember that as part of our experience in northern Japan. In addition, thank you for providing us with pizza on the way to the festival. Domo arigato gozaimasu for the wonderful memories!

On behalf of Naval Security Group Activity Misawa, I would like to extend my heartfelt appreciation to the JAAGA for inviting us to participate in the 2005 Nebuta festival. The event provided a rare opportunity for my Sailors to appreciate and enjoy a truly remarkable part of Japanese culture. The beautiful festival floats, the drums, the high-energy chanting and dancing, along with the wonderful and generous hospitality of Mr. Yamamoto and the JAAGA, made for an evening that we will never forget.
