At 13:30p.m. on 31st January 2008, Secretariats Hirose, Enoki and Kurabeishi visited Lieutenant General Wright, commander of 5th Air Force (5AF), and handed support money for JASDF-USAF Non-Commission Officer (NCO) Exchange Program in presence of CMS.Graig Deatherage, Command Chief Master Sergeant (CCMS) of 5AF.
  On the occasion, secretariat Hirose, on behalf of JAAGA president, said to Gen.Wright "we request you to become JAAGA honorary member. If you accept our proposal, we will hand honorary member plaque at farewell party which is held on 4 Feb."  Commander Wright expressed "It's my honor to become JAAGA honorary member. I am very happy because I have worked in Japan for many years. Today's Japan - US alliance was established after last World War, but this alliance is the best one in the world. And this has contributed to protect values, freedom and democracy and to keep peace and prosperity in this area. We would like to strengthen our alliance through deepening interchange activities by each peoples of both countries. And there does not need to be too much to have inseparable friends in order to do big thing. Also I'm glad to get many trustful friends, JASDF active duties and retirees. (outline)" And he showed many names of JASDF active duties and retirees.
  CCMS.Deatherage pointed "NCO Exchange Program has become popular among USAFJ's NCOs year by year, so we rack our brain to select trainee. We are sure that this program does a lot for strengthening our mutual reliability and making Japan and United States relationship tight. And we spend this support money from JAAGA for young NCOs exchange activities. Also we appreciate that JAAGA contribute for JASDF-USAF NCO Exchange Program. (outline)"
  Secretariat Enoki asked Gen.Wright to notice us his latest status as honorary member once or twice a year after returning to America, we would like to carry them in JAAGA paper and to load on JAAGA homepage. General replied "Sure, absolutely", and wish to keep in touch with JAAGA.
  Finally Secretariat Hirose presented Sake-cups of Kutani chinaware (painted mouse of zodiac signs 2008) provided by JAAGA member Ryoji Seki who lives in Toyama prefecture to Commander and Command Chief Master Sergeant. (Reported by secretariat Kurabeishi)
