On 19th June, Gen.Yoshida, JAAGA president, handed the letter of appointment of JAAGA Honorary Membership to Lt.Gen. Burton M.Field, Commander of US Forces Japan and Fifth Air Force at Meiji Kinenkan.　JAAGA chairman Nagaiwa, vice chairman Hori, secretariat Nagashima and Morishita participated in this event.　Before this event, the conferring decollation ceremony was carried out, and the reception honor was held by the Chief of Joint Staff of ASDF and Chief of Staff of JASDF at the same place.　Mrs.Lisa Field and Cap.David Field (son) attended to JAAGA's ceremony.　At the beginning of this ceremony, president Yoshida mentioned "we would like to appoint Gen.Field as JAAGA honorary member.　He is the tenth honorary member" and handed the honorary member plaque to new member.　Gen.Field replied "I feel greatly honor to be JAAGA honorary member, and the number of ten is very good number for me. And I know that my predecessors are in action with JAAGA's members.　I would like to deepen the relationship between US and Japan through the friendship and goodwill with the members of JAAGA and JASDF." 　The reception was very warm.
