JAAGA announced JAAGA Award winners of 2012.　Winner's name and their achievement are as below.　Their devotion and efforts are vital in enhancing the U.S.-Japan Air Force friendship and mutual trust and has served to further strengthen the bilateral relations between the United States of America and Japan.

JASDF	Airborne Warning & Control Group Misawa AB	C.M.Sgt. Minoru Kobayashi	He has promoted mutual understanding and friendship between USAF and JASDF who executed USAF-JASDF NCO joint activities in Misawa. Especially, as the President of NCO association of Misawa AB of 2012 JFY, he actively planed and coordinated many bilateral events in Misawa AB.
	Electronics Development &Test Group Iruma AB	Warrant Officer Tadayoshi Ueji	As a translator and coordinator, he has contributed several JASDF-USAF NCO official activities for mutual understandings. And moreover he has actively supported and contributed to numerous mutual exchange events in Iruma AB for promoting mutual friendship between JASDF and USAF.
	Air Defense Operations Group Yokota AB	C.M.Sgt. Hitoshi Miyakawa	As a civil engineering members, he has contributed to make sincere coordination for the relocation project of the HQ, Air Defense Command, JASDF to Yokota AB and helped to establish a enhanced bilaretal operations. Furthermore, he actively joined several exchange programs in Yokota AB to enhance mutual understanding and friendship among two Forces.
	Naha Rescue Squadron Naha AB	M.Sgt. Hisashi Saiki	He profoundly recognized the significance of U.S.-Japan defense cooperation and actively contributed to the development of mutual exchange between JASDF and USAF. Especially noted are his proactive planning and execution of the mutual exchange programs with 31st and 33rd Air Rescue Squadrons of 18th Wing, as well as an annual joint rescue exercise (Cope Angel) between Air Rescue Wing and 18th Wing.
USAF	35th Fighter Wing Misawa AB	M.Sgt. Brian Shurtleff	As Misawa International Relations Committee Chairman in 2012, he coordinated 3 Misawa's Bilateral Exchange Programs successfully. He also furthered the development of future senior enlisted leaders as a mentor in joint NCO professional Enhancement Course etc. His outstanding contribution promoted USAF-JASDF mutual understanding and friendship.
	374th Airlift Wing Yokota AB	Captain Michael Pluger	As the USAF liaison, he coordinated processes for many bilateral construction projects of relocation of the HQ, Air Defense Command, JASDF and helped to solidify a detailed framework for future bilaretal operations. Furthermore, he led the Friendship Festival Yokota AB integrating the ADC-led Bon Festival which immeasurably strengthened ties between USAF and JASDF and enhanced friendship and mutual understanding among two Forces.
	18th Wing Kadena AB	S.M.Sgt. Robert W. Miller	As a 18 WG’s Bilateral coordinator, he participated many exchange programs and joint trainings, especially coordinated and contributed briefings and aircraft static display in Kadena AB, to promote the friendship and mutual understanding between USAF and JASDF.. .
