On 4th Feb.2006, Colonel Goodwin, Commander of Yokota AB, held Annual Award Ceremony of Yokota Air Base at NCO club, about 300 military and civilian personnels dressing formal cloth participated to ceremony.　In ceremony, JAAGA Award 2005 were presented to winners.　After introducing each winners' excellent contribution for increasing trust and mutual understanding between Japan and United States, JAAGA chairman, General Shoji Takegouchi (JASDF retired), handed letter of appreciation and memorial plaque to them.　The awards winners are Captain Jeffery J.Downs (36th Airlift Squadron,USAF YokotaAB), Warrant Officer Hiroshi Shigiyama (Chief Senior NCO of Hq., Air Development & Test Command (ADTC), Iruma AB) and Master Sergeant Muneaki Takeda (Office of Inspector General, Hq., Air Defense Command, Fuchu AB).　Maj.Gen.Yasuo Miyamoto, Chief of Staffs of ADTC, joined to ceremony as distinguished guest.　After award presentation, Gen.Takegouchi said "we admire that 374th Airlift Wing splendidly played active part in Tsunami relief efforts in Southeast Asia last year, and JASDF accomplished various new missions and expanded their range of activity.　We will strongly support USAF & JASDF in order to help promote mutual understanding and friendship between USAF and JASDF.　This is our goal."　And he added " I'm very impressed that 3 girls sang national antherems at ceremony, Japanese antherm by two American girl and American national antherem by one Kimono dressed Japanese girl.　I think this performance comes under our award."　Very wonderful award ceremony!　(Reported by secretariate Enoki)
