Annual Award ceremony of Misawa Air Base was opened at Misawa NCO Club "Tohoku" in evening of 10th Feb..　Ceremony was started with national flags entrance, singing national anthems of US and Japan by an American airman, and praying by Chaplain.　Then award nominetees were announced by every sections, airman, sergeant, senior sergeant, officer and civilian employee.　After dinner, JAAGA award presentation ceremony began.　In ceremony, vice president Yamaguchi expressed appreciation words on that USAF shared opportunity to hand JAAGA award at USAF Annual Award ceremony.　And he presented letter of appreciation and memorial plaque to award winners.　Winners' contribution on promote mutual understanding and friendship between United States and Japan are described in linked page.　At USAF ceremony, base commander handed a memorial to winner and they took a souvenir picture with commander and winner, winners contribution were not announced at ceremony.　All winners looked so happier because that their wives could sit with at honorable ceremony.　Whenever winner's name announced, participants from winner's belonging unit raised shout of joy, beat table with spoon and praised him.　They seemed to enjoy ceremony.　 (Reported by Ozawa, Head of Misawa Branch)
