Farewell luncheon for Mr.Masao Abe who is a member of 374th Air Wing Public Affair and will be retired in December, was carried out from 11:00 A.M. on 8th Dec. at Yokota NCOs club.　It was the big luncheon, which Col.Otto Feather (commander of Yokota Air Base and 374th Airlift Wing), the executive officers of Yokota AB, the local governors around Yokota AB., members of 7 Yokota AB Friendship Clubs and many other guests participated in.　From JAAGA, 5 secretariats, Bandoh, Arai, Iba, Momoki and Minamoto, were present at this luncheon.　After the opening address, Mr. Abe mentioned with his many episodes through 21 years experience in the public affair field that "I could have opportunities to touch many peoples' good faith and good will.　And I could experience that trust is made on goodwill and friendship is built on trust through sharing time and experience with many peoples.　Also I could know that all peoples have the common philanthropy beyond race and nationality.　Through my work, I could learn one world and one human being."　 After the words of thanks by director of public affair, the appreciation message from US Military Facilities Relations Division of Governor of Tokyo was introduced to the participant, the president of Mizuho-Yokota Friendship Club on behalf of 7 friendship clubs expressed the word of thanks to Mr.Abe, and the memento (C-130 photo) was presented to Mr.Abe by the group commanders of 374AW, and the mayor of Mizuho town had greeting and handed the memorial present.　The massages from former base commanders and former directors of public affair were introduced.　Then Colonel Feather praised Mr.Abe's achievement, expressed the words of thanks and presented the memento.　At the end of luncheon, Mr.Abe did goodbye to all participants.　(reported by secretariat Minamoto)
