On 9th December, General and Mrs. Bruce Wright, USFJ/CC and 5AF/CC, held
Holiday Open House party at commander's residence which was located in
Kenny Court of Yokota air base. Christmas trees and many kinds of Christmas
ornaments were decorated in their house, so Christmas mood were full here
and there. The invited guests from 3:00P.M. were executive officers of
Japan Air Self Defense Force and JAAGA's members. Chief of Staff, vice
Chief of Staff and Directors of ASO, Commander of Air Defense Command,
Commander of Central Air Defense Force, and president Takegochi, secretariat
Bandoh, Nagaiwa, Yamamoto, Matsui and Minamoto from JAAGA attended to party. While
music band which organized with selected players from USAF bases in Japan
played Christmas song, all attendances, JASDF's active and retired members
accompanied with their wives, could very enjoy American Christmas party. At
party, Gen.Wright said "We appreciate you that we could strongly tie
US-Japan alliance together, and we express gratitude for your effort on
it. Also I personally thank for you to be good friends and to teach us
many things about our business". At end of party, we sang a song titled
"Let There Be Peace On Earth" for "Peace and Security of
Pacific region". Song title fits on USAF's & JASDF's mission very
