Japanese-American Friendship Festival 2006 of Yokota Air Base was held on 19th (Fri.) and 20th(Sat.) August. 　On outdoor and indoor stages at Yokota AB, Japanese drums playing, traditional dancing , and American pop and rock music were performed.　Many citizen from neighbor cities visited Yokota AB. and enjoyed many kinds of events included aircraft's display.　At 1:00PM of 19th Aug., reception was set at NCO club.　JAAGA officers were invited by Col.Goodwin (base commander), Secretariat Ochi, Bandoh and Minamoto participated as representative.　Colonel had opening speech in Japanese, and this speech was taken cheer.　He said almost following, "Thank you for coming to Friendship Festival and reception today.　We have deepened friendship between United States and Japan more than 50 years.　Please observe our base and enjoy American tradition.　We hope you will make friends and deepen friendship.　Your support to mission of Yokota AB is essential to peace and security of Pacific region.　Thank you for coming to Yokota air base today.　Please have a splendid day."　At reception all participants wore cowboy hat, we enjoyed conversation while Western music were played by AF band.　(Reported by secretariat Minamoto)
